With today being November 1st, there was something inside of me that wanted to start a challenge. So many people participate in NaNoWriMo and last year I did NaBloPoMo (this was right when I started blogging!), but this time, I wanted it to be related to health.
I’ve been a little bit (ok… more than a little bit) off track ever since our vacation last month to Disney. I haven’t been working out as much, I’ve been drinking more wine than I should, and eating way more of the bad stuff than I should. As a result, I’ve been feeling tired and definitely not at my best. I don’t want to wait for the new year to come around to make resolutions – I want change NOW.
So, I have decided to take the 30 days in November and turn things around. My challenge includes getting in some physical activity every single day, as well as cutting down on all the bad stuff I’m consuming and upping my fruit and veggie intake.
What will I be including in the category of “physical activity”? Lots of interval training (something I almost never do), some 30 Day Shredding, weights sessions at the gym, and at least 1-2 days per week I’m going to do something on the less intense scale like 20 minutes of walking on the treadmill or cycling on my stationary bike.
I’m off to a good start – today on November 1, I went home during lunch and conquered the 30 Day Shred! OK, “conquered” might be overstating it, but it was the first time I was able to make it through the level 1 session all the way to the end.
