November Wrap-Up

Happy December, everyone!

Now that November has concluded, I thought I’d do a little wrap up on how it went and how far I made it with my goals.

To recap, here are a few posts about progress throughout the month:

The verdict?

I made it all 30 days doing one workout everyday! I took a few days and did easier workouts to let my body recover, which I counted as quasi-rest days. But aside from that, I worked out vigorously every day.

To pick up where my last post left off and for posterity, here were the remainder of my workouts for the month. I think you’ll see it’s no surprise that my month was mostly filled with shredding and dancing:

Nov 19 – 40 mins. dancing
Nov 20 – 30 Day Shred
Nov 21 – Exercise bike for 30 mins.
Nov 22 – 33 mins. dancing
Nov 23 – 35 mins. elliptical followed by weights circuits
Nov 24 – 64 mins. dancing
Nov 25 – 20 mins. dancing
Nov 26 – 30 Day Shred
Nov 27 – 30 Day Shred level 2
Nov 28 – 39 mins. dancing
Nov 29 – 33 mins. dancing
Nov 30 – 32 mins. dancing

I pretty much finished with the first level of the 30 Day Shred and did one day of level 2 (more of this will be coming in December). I’m happy to say that you can really see the muscle in my arms and legs now as a result.

Did I lose any weight? No. However, I did lose inches. At the beginning of this challenge, I decided to take measurements (something I’ve really never done before when it comes to tracking my fitness), and I’m glad I did. If I hadn’t taken that step, I would have looked at the scale and thought there was no progress! The most significant losses occurred in my waist (8cm) and stomach (5cm). Other areas lost too, but those were the biggest numbers. I’m quite encouraged by them and hope by the end of December that the loss will be even greater!

This month really taught me a few things – the first being that it’s really not that difficult to fit in a workout on any given day, even if I’m upset about something or tired or overworked. I learned some discipline and I also learned that even if the scale doesn’t move, it’s still possible to be getting fitter.

    Wow….just wow! Congrats to you! I can’t seem to ever motivate myself to exercise and you did it once a day for a whole month. Good for you!!!!!!!
